It turns out that if you ask the right questions in just the right way, some men will actually tell you that they're rapists. They'll just…admit it.

The key is, don't use the word rape. Just ask them what they've done.

Researchers asked 1,882 men: "Have you ever tried to have oral sex with someone by using (or threatening to use) physical force—twisting their arm, holding them down, etc.—if they did not cooperate?"

and: "Have you ever had sexual intercourse with someone, even though they didn't want to, because they were too intoxicated to resist your advances?"

120 answered yes.

(That's rape.)

120 rapists.

They admitted to a total of 483 rapes and attempted rapes. 483!

If you are ever driving through the town of Batumi, Georgia, be sure to re-fuel at the latest petrol station in town and grab a Big Mac while you’re at it. The combined McDonalds and Gas station in Batumi is unlike the common food and gas station stops around the world. It is quite the opposite. It is more like filling gas at the Musuem of Modern Art. Inside is a full scale McDonald’s with a reflection pool and recreational space for its customers.

Designed by Georgian architect Giorgi Khmaladze, the contemporary McDonald’s fuel station was commissioned by Socar and took 3 years to complete. The structure is 1200 sq m (12,916 sq ft) and was designed in a way to separate the restaurant and fuel station, even though to they share the same space. In the hopes of giving as much space for recreation, Khmaladze focused on limiting the footprint of the building as much as possible. With two levels, a cantilevered giant canopy and an outdoor vegetation layer, that Big Mac never tasted better. Check out more of Giorgi Khmaladzes projects here.
